Especially when moving documents around on the Paper Port desktop, I will often get the Silver Circle of Futility (Windows 7's little spinning silver circle that shows up when it wants you to wait while it sorts things out). So I was able to get the newest driver for the printer, but not an update for paperport. I got everything I needed, EXCEPT PAPERPORT! I could not get an update to paperport because it was bundled with the printer software.

Most of my software was not compatible so I had to go online to download the newest drivers. I upgraded my computer to one that has Windows 7 Pro. I had paperport as it was bundled with my printer's software. The software is very different from the previous one I used. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was that it took me what seemed like forever to find one of the features I was looking for (one of the more important ones, to me). I haven't had any of the other problems I've read about in other reviews. I haven't had any issues with installation. Granted, I haven't had it for all that long, but I believe I will be happy with it.
But I couldn't find anything else that did what I wanted it to do so I had no choice but to try it. I was worried about buying this software after reading all the reviews.
